Privacy policy
Artwork Kenya Limited (“Artwork Kenya”, “we”) is the data controller for this website. We are based at Hamp Court Apartments, Upper Hill Road, Nairobi, Kenya. Contact: hello@artwork-kenya.co.ke or +254 722 271 324.
This policy is written to meet the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, and the principles in Article 31 of the Constitution of Kenya. It is not a substitute for legal advice.
What we collect
- Contact and school enquiry forms: name, email, phone if you give it, message, the service or course you selected.
- Admin accounts: email and authentication identifiers used to sign in.
- Essential technical data: security logs, error reports, and the pages you request, so the site can run.
- Optional analytics (only if you press “Accept analytics”): aggregated page views via Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics.
We do not sell personal data. We do not buy marketing lists. We do not run advertising networks or allow other people to place ads on this site. See Site safety.

- Contract and pre-contract steps — to answer an enquiry or deliver a project.
- Legitimate interests — to run, secure, and defend this website and our copyright.
- Consent — for optional analytics cookies only.
- Legal obligation — where Kenyan law requires us to keep a record.
Where data is processed
This site is hosted on Google Firebase (Hosting, Firestore, Authentication, Storage, optionally Analytics). That means some processing happens on Google infrastructure outside Kenya. We use Google as a processor under their terms. We keep collections tightly permissioned: public visitors can read published project pages; they cannot write project records or open the admin studio.
How long we keep it
Enquiry messages are kept so we can reply and keep a business record, then deleted when they are no longer needed. Analytics, if enabled, follows Google’s retention settings. Security logs are kept long enough to investigate abuse.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection, and you may complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) in Kenya. Write to hello@artwork-kenya.co.ke.
Children
This is a commercial and school site. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children for marketing. Faces in project photographs are censored on the public site.
